Breaking Free Ministries

"To open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house."  Isaiah 42:7(NKJV)

We’ve gotten started!

On January 3rd we were suppose to preach our last service at Calico Rock and then move the next day to Willard; well, God had other plans. It snowed and we had to cancel the service so we packed up the U-Haul and moved to Willard during the snow storm. What is usually a two and a half hour trip took us five hours but God was with us. We want to thank Sheryl’s parents, Harold & Evelyn for driving the U-Haul up here, Charles, Clarence and Cheryl, David and Brenda and my three sons Jeremy, Caleb and Jared for helping us move out of the house in Calico Rock and in to our home in Willard, We love you guys!

In January we began itinerating again, we have been to several churches and have ministered to several people who have loved ones incarcerated. God is moving by His sovereign power and people’s lives are being touched and changed. We had a few services cancelled by the weather but God is faithful and we were able to rebook those services for a later date.

In February we went to several churches in Arkansas on Sundays and even spoke at some on Wednesday nights. God moved and we saw Him touching as only He can; We are seeing a good move of the Holy Spirit in the services and even had one person give her life to the Lord during a morning service on Valentine’s Day.

So far this month saw us speaking on a Wednesday night at Jeremy and Stefanie’s home church in Searcy, AR. On the following Sunday we had two services and we saw God touch several people who had loved ones in Prison. We have several more services this month and are looking forward to what God is going to do in these services.

We want to say “Thank You” to the churches that we have been to in the past 2 1/2 months; you treated us like royalty and we really appreciate the fine fellowship that we had with you. We pray that we were able to bless you with our ministry.

At Global; we have had an increase to our student body over the past several months. I have seen it go from about 1500 students to over 1900 students since June. God is definitely moving thorough this ministry. We had 67salvation messages came in for the month of January; these are 67 new souls born into the kingdom of God. We give God all the glory and honor for what He is doing through His word and this ministry. We sent out almost 200 Great Questions of Life to new students and saw others complete the Christian Life program and move on to the Christian Service program. This ministry has grown by word of mouth of inmates who recommend their friends in prison take the courses or by being asked by a cell or barracks mate where they can get the courses. We are just in awe of what God is doing through the Prison Ministry at Global University. If you would like to see the courses that the inmates are doing; please go to this web site: www.globalreach.org or click on "free courses for inmates" on this web page.

On the itineration side; we started the year needing to raise $3700.00 for our personal & work budget. In the six years since we last itinerated we have lost around $1200.00 of our budget and because of an increase of expenses for this new ministry work we need to raise an additional $2500.00. This may sound like a lot but God is faithful and we have already made a small dent in this total. I have been telling the churches that we have been to that we need either 370 churches or individuals to come and partner with us at $10.00 a month and we would have our budget raised. Since January, we have raised around $150.00 in new support so now we need either 355 churches or individuals to become partners in this ministry for $10.00 dollars a month or 142 at $25, or 71 at $50 or 36 at $100 a month.

On the family side; Sheryl’s been busy getting our new house in order and going with me on the weekends for these services. Jared likes his new school; it is a lot bigger than Calico Rock High School and he has already made new friends at school and the church that we attend when we are home. Caleb is still in college at Central Bible College and is working at Ruby Tuesday; he is going to move home after this semester. Jeremy and Stefanie gave us a beautiful new grandson named Micah Jude born on March 1st; he weighed 7 pounds and 3 ounces. He is wonderful and his big brother Rory is proud of him as well. Our oldest son Nathan graduated college in December and is probably going to go back and get his Master’s degree in music in a few years; his wife is starting her Master’s program this fall.

We would like to come to your church and let your congregation know what God is doing through the ministry at Global. If you would like us to come please call me at (870) 404-0205 or at 1-800-433-1089 ext.2112 and we would be glad to book a service with you.

I pray that Jesus richly bless you and your ministry and family this year.

Your fellow servants in the Harvest Fields.

Your Missionaries to America’s Prisons

Jesus called us to go to the prisons; He said in Matthew 25: 36 "I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me." (NKJV)
